Welcome to Activate!
Activate gives you extra help to develop your employability skills and make a smooth transition from school to a job, training or a college course.
You may have some idea of what you want to do when you leave school or may not know where to start. Activate will help you with:
personal development
- career planning
- career management
You will also take part in a variety of activities such as:
- team-building days
- college visits
- employer visits
- fundraising
Although you are part of a team you will be able to discuss your individual progress with your Activate adviser who can give you further support with your career planning.
Your adviser will still be there to help you for a 
year after you complete the programme
When you complete the course you get presented with a certificate which shows the skills you have developed. You can show this to an employer, a college lecturer or a training provider at interview.
You can contact your Activate co-ordinator to tell them what you think about Activate, what you enjoy and what could be improved – your opinion matters!
