Enhanced Resource Pilot Project
What is it?
Delivery of an enhanced programme of employability activities and interventions in 15 schools across the seven local authority areas where levels of those who are Not engaged in Employment, Education or Training (NEET) present a particular challenge.
Who is it aimed at?
S1-S6 pupils in participating schools who are identified as being at risk of not securing a positive school leaver destination. Project delivery will focus particularly in S3-S6 pupils.
What are the benefits to customers?
The target for the project is to reduce school leaver unemployment by 50% by the end of the 2007-2008 academic session. Project participants will be supported to access and sustain positive outcomes.

Project is being delivered in the following local authority areas:
- Glasgow
- Dundee
- North Ayrshire
- East Ayrshire
- West Dunbartonshire
- Inverclyde
- Clackmannan.
Is staff training required?
Dedicated Project Careers Advisers are trained in use of approved Careers Scotland employability products e.g. Activate and WorkNet.
Further information
The project will involve all school staff; parents/carers, Careers Scotland staff and other partners in supporting vulnerable young people to maximise their potential on leaving school.
