Setpoint
What is it?
Setpoints are local centres of excellence which support and have a wealth of information about Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths based resources, schemes across the KEY stages.
Setpoints help and inspire young people about these subjects by linking schools and pupils with Industry and research, and having scientists, technologists and engineers working in partnership. - promoting excellence
Setpoints operate in collaboration with the Education Business Link Consortia and monitor and report on STEM acitivity across 47 Local Learning & Skills Councils' areas in England and others covering Wales, Scotland & Northern Ireland.
There are four Setpoints in Scotland and two are hosted within Careers Scotland.
Who is it aimed at?
Setpoints cover the Primary, Secondary and Higher Education. Setpoints produce an approved Business Plan outlining the programmes and target groups.
What are the benefits?
Setpoints co-ordinate the Science, Engineering Ambassadors Programme and these experts are available to provide expert knowledge to Pupils, Students & teachers.
