The CareersScotlandSpaceSchool is undergoing development and teachers and young people in Scotland's schools should look out for future opportunities with the new partnership approach named the ScottishSpaceSchool. Information will be sent to schools and posted on this web-site; this new partnership includes Careers Scotland, the Universities of Strathclyde, Edinburgh and Glasgow – so watch this space!
About the Careers Scotland Space School
The Careers Scotland Space School seeks to inspire young Scots to pursue science related courses of study, and consider careers in science and technology.
The Space School is supported by the Scottish Government and the International Space Community.
The Scottish Government's Science Strategy aims to:
- Promote science education in schools
- Develop an understanding of and enthusiasm for science as a career
- Ensure the supply of well-qualified scientists to meet Scotland’s future needs.
Objectives
- to inspire, motivate and raise the aspirations of young people in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM)
- Encourage more students to study science related courses at school, college and university. Find out more about subject choice in

- Increase participants’ self-confidence by developing their communication, team-building and problem solving skills.
