The Risk Project
What is it?
This project is run in partnership with "Stramash" which is a new initiative funded by the council to develop outdoor education across the region and Ardroy Outdoor Education Centre. This project aims to use the risk involved in outdoor activities to teach upper primary schools pupils about, and give them insight into the world of risk. There are 3 parts to the project.
- Run an introductory interactive session lasting 3 hours in the school.
- A full day of outdoor activities e.g. canoeing, abseiling etc.
- A follow up session in each school lasting around 2 hours.
Who is it aimed at?
Primary 7 pupils
This project will ensure continuity in and reinforcement of understanding of enterprise principles as part of P7/S1 transition.
It also enables pupils to develop rational career planning skills linked to their enterprise skills.
