Skills Development Scotland Operating Plan

Skills Development Scotland Operating Plan 2008-09 (PDF format - 355kb) - This Operating Plan sets out what will be delivered by Skills Development Scotland during its first year of operation. The organisation has been created from a merger of Careers Scotland, the skills and learning functions of Highlands and Islands Enterprise and Scottish Enterprise and the Scottish University for Industry.

Highlands and Islands Enterprise Annual report and accounts

The Highlands and Islands Enterprise annual reports and accounts includes a summary of the performance of the Network over the past year. This class also includes financial information in the form of HIE's annual accounts.

Client Confidentiality Policy

The Careers Scotland (SDS) Confidentiality Policy (PDF format - 78kb) advises Careers Scotland staff on dealing with confidential information about clients. The policy covers all service users - individuals, employers, training providers and other agencies and organisations.

Psychological Testing

From time to time Careers Scotland staff may use psychometric tests. This is a way of assessing a person’s ability or personality in a measured and structured way. Our Psychological Testing Policy has been produced to ensure:

  • Personal and organisational aims are met
  • There is commitment to good practice
  • Potential misuse is avoided

Child Protection Policy

The purpose of the Careers Scotland Child Protection Policy (PDF format 135KB) is to establish the Careers Scotland approach to ensuring it safeguards the welfare of children and vulnerable people with whom it works and those of staff and others working on behalf of Careers Scotland.
