Resignation
When is the right time to hand in your resignation?
- Wait until you have confirmation in writing from your new employer.
- Be sure you know what notice period you are contracted to give your existing employer and hand in your resignation letter in time to cover this.
- Be positive about the time you spent with your employer – you might want a reference or you might want to go back there again or your old boss may move to your new employer and again be your boss!
- Keep a copy of the letter.
- Explore the i-resign website for ideas on how to resign.
