Project Green
Project Green lets you pit your journalistic skills against a major environmental event that is affecting the planet. People with the right skills are needed to solve the crisis and the clock is ticking for you and your team to produce an e-update that tells the world about what is happening.
Project Green is open to secondary students S4 to S6 and college students aged 14 to 18. Your teacher or lecturer will register your team which will enable you to select one of three scenarios covering:
- Carbon footprint
- Energy
- Food
Your team will be asked to produce a four-page e-update reporting on your chosen scenario including a single page advertising jobs which complement the topic you have selected. Each team will have their own online workspace where they can upload images, add videos and enter text to create an e-update that grabs your audience’s attention.
Members of the winning team will each receive an amazing Eco Media Player and enjoy a visit with top weather forecaster Heather the Weather at BBC Scotland's new state-of-art HQ in Glasgow.
