Parents activities
These activities have been designed to stimulate and provoke discussion with your child on their career planning. They can help you identify the key issues facing your child and how you can support them more effectively.
Just at a time when young people may need advice most, they are naturally keen to demonstrate their independence. Equally parents are often anxious on behalf of their child. Activities can help give focus to a discussion on career planning and away from other teenage/parent issues.
Sharing your own career-planning experiences with your child can help you to talk to them about what they are going through. It may also help you reflect on your own plans for the future!
