What do I have to offer?
Career planning is all about identifying your skills and strengths and relating them to what jobs and courses demand to widen your options and set career goals.
Many people have difficulty in identifying their own strengths, experience and qualities and how these might relate to what employers look for.
The purpose of this is to help you and your child talk this through together and:-
- Identify and discuss their strengths and qualities. Use these pages of the Careers Scotland web site to help you
- Consider the "evidence" that could be used to back this up. This could come from school reports, qualifications, participation in activities; from work experience or a part-time job; or from leisure activities and interests.
