Key skills on your CV

The Key Skills section of your CV can be similar to your Personal Profile. The main difference is that the Key Skills section should include more examples and more detail.

  • Focus on your responsibilities, achievements in your life and show where you used or developed those skills.
  • Focus upon recent achievements and what your contributions were, skills developed and outcomes.

An example could be "Leadership skills developed as team leader of the ABC Sales team which increased sales by 40% over the last year".

Use the Action Words and Useful Phrases sections to help identify your Key Skills.
