Personal profile on your CV

Many people choose to include a ‘personal profile’ when writing their CV. This is a statement of no more than 2 or 3 sentences which summarises your relevant skills and personal attributes.

Use it to show your career aims with evidence of two or three main strengths and where they were developed.

Don't say 'I get on well with people', a more positive statement is 'I have developed excellent interpersonal skills through my retail experience at .............'

Use the Personal Profile Samples, Action Words and Useful Phrases sections to develop your Personal Profile.
