Employment history on your CV

In this section list the employers you have worked for. If you are a recent school or college leaver list part time or holiday jobs. They are important as it shows an employer that you do have experience of work.

If you are creating a chronological CV, list detailed information in this section to highlight your strengths and experience.

If you are creating a functional CV, concentrate on covering your main work duties to complement the information in your Personal Profile and Key Skills sections.

  • You should put your most recent job first.
  • All fields marked with an asterisk must be entered for each job you enter.
  • You should enter a minimum of one job in this section.

Use the Action Words and Useful Phrases sections to help you to describe your roles.
