If you feel you have additional support needs we can give you the right kind of help to reach your career goals. We will help you to make the most of your skills and strengths when looking at your career options.

You may need extra support because you have:

  • a disability

  • learning difficulties

Get in touch with your local Careers Scotland centre where you can get help to review your ideas and plan your next step.

Help from Jobcentre Plus

Their Advisers provide support to disabled people who are having difficulty in getting a job because of their disability, and also to employed people who are concerned about losing their job because of a disability. They can provide details of suitable vacancies and explain more about the range of programmes available to help you.

If you need extra support, they have specialist advisers who can help you plan the best way for you to find work. If you’re already employed, these advisers can discuss your current employment situation with you. If you’re concerned about losing your job because of your disability or health condition, you and your employer can get advice and practical suggestions to help you keep your job.

Help from other Agencies

There are a wide range of specialist organisations who can provide you with the right information, advice and support.
