Before you can attend lectures on the science of sea–faring you'll need to spend time in the lecture room. You'll learn your port from your starboard and your bow from your stern, and they'll teach you how to use radio terminology like 'Polo Whisky Alpha Zulu.' In all seriousness, the course will equip you in every way for your first trip to sea with lectures on safety and seafaring. You will also use high–tech simulator suites that recreate the working atmosphere on-board a ship and generally help you find your sea legs. Then you'll take all you've learned with you up the gangplank and away into the big, wide world.
