Teaching Quality Information (TQi)

A more user friendly version of the TQi website was launched in August 2006. The site gives improved access to official up-to-date information about the quality of higher education in UK universities and colleges. The site is supported by the Government and the National Union of Students.

TQi is an essential tool for prospective applicants to make choices about what and where to study. The site lets the user compare data for university and subject combinations and publishes reports about teaching quality.

You can compare student data on actual entry qualifications, progression through study, award classification achieved and the types of jobs obtained after graduation.

This is also where you will find the results of the National Student Survey, which shows what final year undergraduate students think about key aspects of their education. The results of the 2006 National Student Survey were recently launched on the site by Bill Rammell, Minister for Higher Education and Lifelong Learning.
