Scotland's Careers and Jobs Fair Celebrates 30 Years
Scotland’s Careers and Jobs Fair celebrated its 30th Anniversary this year.
The event, which took place on Saturday, Sunday and Monday at the SECC received over 27,000 visitors of all ages, from across Scotland. Over 100 exhibitors were present with demonstrations from police sniffer dogs, the Army and SECTT. Careers Scotland once again hosted the Guidance Zone, delivered seminars and provided CV clinics.
For the first time, the Careers Scotland west Jobs Fairs was integrated into the SECC, allowing over 70 schools to receive an employability presentation and benefit from a bigger, better event. Over 40 Careers Scotland Advisers dealt with a range of enquiries over the weekend.
Danny Logue acknowledged that the event continues to be the largest careers event in Scotland, assisting numerous visitors with their career planning.
